OpenVPN as a service adding credentials

I have a .ovpn file from a provider with a username/password. If I install it without the GUI, how do I get the credentials in? It connects but says auth failure without anything. I have looked everywhere and nothing I see addresses the creds. I know on linux how to do it, but not on Windows.
