Can’t bridge connection between MacBook Air and PS4

Hey guys, I'm currently struggling with this problem: I need to share my vpn connection via Ethernet cable from my Mac to my ps4. When I go to test connection it pulls the IP but then immediately fails the internet test. I'm connecting to the vpn using OpenVPN connect (octovpn). So am I missing a step or is there a diff way I know this is barely any info but Idk what to do anymore, I even had someone work on it for 4 hours and they were stumped
