OpenVPN Connect help with problem, "You may not use a static IP address. Please enable DHCP."

So I just got back to university and I'm setting up my PC. I use OpenVPN on an Ubuntu Server VM installed on Proxmox on a home server, and OpenVPN Connect on my various devices to access my home server. I mainly use my home server for file storage and a private wiki that I have to keep track of a bazillion things. Whenever I use my OpenVPN Connect client on my PC at school though, it pops up a browser and says "You may not use a static IP address. Please enable DHCP."
When I setup OpenVPN, I used a setup script, so I'm not particularly familiar with it, I just needed to have access to home server quick before I came back to school. I've searched the OpenVPN Connect options and there does not seem to be a simple way to enable DHCP. I'm assuming for whatever reason OpenVPN Connect disables DHCP and forces a static IP. My school presumably has this monitored because they don't want kids hosting website out of their dorm room. Anyone know of a solution?
