Does this network config is possible ?

Hello,
i'm new on this forum, and i'm trying to configure my 1st VPN.
To begin, i'll tell you how my network is configured at this moment, and how i would configure it for the future; i liked your opinion about this future configuration.
So, for now i've got my router (in DHCP) connected to internet and to a switch netgear.
This switch is connected to my PC (with an IP in the range 192.168.x.x), and my server in 192.168.1.35 (fixed IP).
I would (if possible):
-keep my router in DHCP, to avoid to change the configuration of my PC + my connected devices (like connected lights etc)
-create a subnet in 10.8.0.0 for my server (that i would use as a VPN + backup)
-and of course, get my server on my LAN (configure a gateway ?)
Thanks for the answers.
Hortiks.
