I have the same issue as a friend had , but no solutions wore give out then ,
so here it goes

this is the error :

SESSION ERROR: There is no flattener function registered for object <built-in function input> of type <type 'builtin_function_or_method'>.: flat/twist:24,flat/ten:83,flat/flatstan:200,flat/ten:70,flat/ten:65 (exceptions.NotImplementedError)

while of course trying to access the user page

during having the server of L2 mode ( bridge)

I see in the Release Notes of OpenVPN Access Server that version 2.8.4 had this improvement/fix:
- Resolved an error message on the User Permissions page when in layer 2 bridging mode

So very likely this issue is resolved if you upgrade.
