cannot access shared drive

I am using an asus rt-acrh13 router. I was using ppp to vpn into the office and it still works to access shared drive. I noticed too many attempts to access the router so I turned off ppp withing the router. The router also has openvpn so I started using that. I can connect and ping other computers on the network. I cannot ping not map a network drive to a windows 10 computer (running win 10 pro). If I turn on the ppp and can ping and map a network drive. Openvp is working as I can view remote desktop on the windows 10 computer. Any suggestions?
Thanks

worked it out via Windows Firewall.

To help anyone else who is as clueless as I and comes across this thread then the solution was to do the following.

1. Control panel
2. Windows Firewall
3. Advanced settings
4. Inbound rules
5. File and Printer sharing (SMB in)
6. Scope
7. Remote IP address (add)
8. Add subnet to the top box (which was in my case: 10.8.0.0/24)
