OpenVPN Support Forum

Hi, got this error, I am new to OpenVPN and am setting up an access server on google cloud. I can't find anything that helps in manuals or internet so I thought I would ask the community!

Client is Debian GNU/Linux 9 \n \l
The server is Access Server on Google cloud

OpenVPN has been downloaded from the repository mentioned on OpenVPN site. and is
OpenVPN 2.4.9 x86_64-pc-linux-gnu [SSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [LZ4] [EPOLL] [PKCS11] [MH/PKTINFO] [AEAD] built on Oct 30 2019
Downloaded client.ovpn from access server and followed instructions to set up on Linux.
triggering connection with
openvpn --config client.ovpn --auth-user-pass
getting
Options error: Unrecognized option or missing or extra parameter(s) in client.ovpn:33: setenv (2.4.9)

A windows client I setup connects Fine. So I think it must be the client connection file.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?? Please.

This must be an Access Server Bug. Please use the Access Server support portal.

Got a ticket running just thought I would check if anyone else had seen the problem. Under pressure to report back as to the suitability of the access server to our requirements.
