Converting from Raspberry Pi to VMWARE- Need RSA Help

Post by PedroSwan » Sun Jun 30, 2019 6:46 am

Hi all

Been lurking for many months and I have happily been running PiVPN for a couple of years. After some water damage the Pi is no more and having had an ESXi server sat doing nothing for a while I thought I'd fire that up and install OpenVPN server. The install went well and everything works as expected.

What I cannot figure out is how I use this OpenVPN like the PiVPN where an .ovpn file is created with necessary keys for importing into the client devices.

I have hunted and hunted but it's either in too much detail for a humble one like me or not exactly to the point of the question.

Thanks

Openvpn does not auto generate configs for you.

Ah.. OK, thanks.

Not too fussed about that it seems I'm overlooking the obvious of generating RSA keys.

So for a simple 'how to' what suggestions? Thanks
