New to VPN - Android

I am trying to set up VPN but am having trouble understanding options and how OpenVPN and KeepSolid VPN Unlimited interface!
I have streaming box (Android) using KODI software supported by a HITRON router. I believe the simplest setup would be to use OpenVPN Connect in Android box but am having trouble understanding how to import source files for KeepSolid?!
Am I making any sense OR am I on the wrong path?
Any assistance is very much appeciated.
