Is there any connection between "OpenVPN for Android" version on Google Play and openvpn.net and the community versions moreso than it just being "based" on the free version?
I'm having a lot of issues with the OpenVPN Connect version for Android and the support issues of newer cryptography technologies and am looking for something that is kept up to date.
Basically I'm wondering whether or not I can trust it or I have to rely on the knowledge of the developer and their practices.
Thank you

Re: OpenVPN for Android on Google Play
IMO I would only download the official one from OpenVPN and not any derivatives. There are about 2 that are derivatives and are OK based on number of downloads and posts online.

You can monitor the developer channels for your self if you want to.MisterSurface wrote:Basically I'm wondering whether or not I can trust it or I have to rely on the knowledge of the developer and their practices
I can vouch that the openvpn devs (all flavours) know their onions !
