Which app do I really need/appropriate?

Which app do I really need, openVPN or Private Tunnel? Basically there is only one thing I need it for, I'm at my daughters school quite often and while I'm there I use their wifi connection and some of the sites I need to go to are restricted for some reason, so I need to get around these school restrictions, but I'm not sure which app is appropriate for this: openVPN or Private Tunnel? I'd rather not have both if I don't need them. Thanks for your help.
