I can’t connect to my router’s OpenVPN over cellular using OpenVPN iOS app. All works fine over WiFi.

I thought it might be T-Mobile blocking port 1194 so I changed the server port to 443 and uploaded a new profile but getting the same results.

Router doesn’t show connection attempts, so looks like it is blocked prior to hitting the router...

Any suggestions?

UDP:443 is not HTTPS .. try TCP:443

I just got it working. Turns out it was the bad T-Mobile carrier settings. That was a nice waste of several hours!

Hi I just updated to newest ios 10.2 and before the update, I had no issue with connecting to my home Netgear R7000 router through OpenVPN. Now the network is always unreachable. The port I'm using is the default 12974, and no luck. It works on WiFi and through Verizon MiFi. Any ideas?

I had the exact same issue.
Fails on cellular and works on wifi.

Seems to have cleared up. But I'm on another network than T-Mobile at the moment.
