OpenVPN Support Forum

Openvpn access (v2.0.25) is installed on linux platform.
direct installation through apt-get. No tuning.

Connection on windows 10 through openvpn connect is working fine (all traffic rerouted, good speed,...). Everything is ok.

I am trying now to get the same access through two devices on Android (one in 6.0, one in 5.1) and I get apparently the same problem.
Connection through openvpn connect is reported as OK. (I can check the connection on the access server admin page)

BUT browser can not resolve any name.
ping 8.8.8.8 is working about 3 seconds every 50 seconds.
DNS seems not working.

Following some forum discussion, I forced the protocol to be TCP instead of multi-daemon, but there is no change.
If somebody knows how to solve this issue.

Stick with UDP and try OpenVPN for Android from Arne Schwabe.
Android 5.1 and up seem to have problems with OpenVPN Connect, or the other way around

Hi together,

I have also kind of the same problem.

I have my server on debian. My windows 7 clients with openvpn client working very well. With the openvpn app, also the one from Arne Schabes, its only possible to connect. The tunnel is working well. Only the routing isnt working aswell its with route to 0.0.0.0/0.
Im using Android 4.4.2 on a Galaxy Tab S.
Anyone have an idea?
