OpenVPN Connect (iOS) in need of an update

The last version for OpenVPN for iOS was released in 15 September 2014. In this time iOS has been upgraded to iOS 9.4.1 while the OpenVPN app was made for iOS 8.0. This has caused frequent crashing and timeouts. If you are running iOS 8.4 or 9 and over if you connect it even using an always on profile it will timeout randomly ranging from every few minutes to an hour which can easily cause a leak if you are loading something, not to mention the frustration of having to constantly reconnect to the point where it has become unusable. So far there have been 8 bad reviews on the app store but the app still has 4 stars so it might be a bit hard to see that people have been having problems with the app. The app still actually uses the interface from iOS 6. Some people are actually having problems making the VPN work at all without involving editing config files etc. I myself have to use two jailbreak tweaks to make it usable on iOS 8.4 but even then it's very unreliable and leaks my IP all the time and eats my battery. The average user won't bother with these workarounds.
I had a look at the new PrivateTunnel OpenVPN app in the app store and it's disappointing that OpenVPN technologies has made an up to date app for a specific VPN provider and is constantly updating the Android version but it looks like it is ignoring a large user base on iOS. My question is: is OpenVPN Technologies or whoever makes the app thinking about update OpenVPN Connect (iOS) (not the PrivateTunnel version) soon?
