Hello, I am trying to use OpenVPN with IOS 9 but it does not seem to work. It starts off trying to connect as normal but when it gets to 'assigning OpenVPN IP Address' it then just goes straight to disconnected. This is the same on my ipad and iphone. I have just updated my ipad to IOS 9.2.1 but still the same issue. Does anyone know how to overcome this?

Does TCP works but UDP not?
Then you have the same problem as me: topic15846.html

I have the same issue as well. New to the forum and just trying to find answers. TCP works, but UDP doesn't. When I configured the exported file with TCP then both iPad with iOS 8.4.1 and iPhone with 9.2.1 connected to my openVPN Asus 68U router network. What is the difference between TCP and UDP? Is UDP preferred? :?: :?

UDP of TCP: https://vpnreviewer.com/tcp-vpn-vs-udp-vpn

It looks like we have the same issue.

Yep. Thank you for the link, good explanation of Pros n Cons between the two. I've been using my OpenVPN with TCP and it works great, however just like the link said, streaming is a bit choppy.

All home routers can't use UDP for openVPN.
