GUI not visible

I found a similar post two years ago, and his problem seemed to be solved by changing the directory installed to. This is not working for me. I have Windows 7 64 bit professional. I tried installing both the 32 bit and 64 bit to their respective appropriate directories. I also run as administrator, but still there is only a gray (grey) icon in the taskbar but no visible GUI. I can right click the taskbar icon and select exit or settings. When I click settings that window shows up, but nothing else. What am I doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
