I have a Synology NAS that goes to sleep after 10 mins of no activity. The NAS has an openvpn server which I can connect to. However when the NAS is asleep and i try to connect from my andriod client it fails the first time before the NAS has fully woken up. Then on reconnecting it works fine.
I set the client to try to connect for 2 minutes, the NAS only takes 10 seconds to wake up.
Why does the client give up connecting before the 2 minutes is up?
openvpn gives up connecting before server wakes up
