i am trying to have my openvpn instance query for a username and password using the auth-ldap plugin. i am testing with the android client. i am not prompted to enter credentials, and i get the following in my logs:

Code: Select all

TLS Error: Auth Username/Password was not provided by peer
TLS Error: TLS handshake failed

i am running 2.2.1 on fedora 16 and my android client is 4.2.x with the latest openvpn client from the play store. is the auth-ldap plugin compatible with the android client? i think it works with the windows GUI client.

i just tested this with the OpenVPN GUI v5 from http://openvpn.se, and I get the same symptoms as with the connect app for android. this seems to be an issue with the plugin, as opposed to an issue with the client app. should this thread be move to a different category?
