Hello

I have beeing trying to install OpenVpn on a win7 machine for several hours, with no success whatsoever.

I have read about all the topics dealing with my problem I could find, tried every solution, none, absolutely none of them worked.

Exploring further on, I looked into my setupapi.dev.log and I realized there was an error message noone mentioned before.

Code: Select all

     dvi: {DIF_SELECTBESTCOMPATDRV - exit(0x00000000)} 19:55:02.888
     inf: {SetupCopyOEMInf: c:\program files\tap-windows\driver\oemwin2k.inf} 19:55:02.926
! inf: Package was already in store: skipping Driver Store add
     inf: {SetupCopyOEMInf exit (0x00000000)} 19:55:02.954
! inf: Unable to load INF: 'C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\oemwin2k.inf_amd64_neutral_5a1fec2fbbccefcc\oemwin2k.inf'(00000005)
!!! inf: Could not load INF 'C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\oemwin2k.inf_amd64_neutral_5a1fec2fbbccefcc\oemwin2k.inf'.
!!! ndv: Driver Package import failed for new device...installing NULL driver.
That directory is indeed created, but I can not look into it (and yes, I'am an admin of my Win7 box)
I can not take ownership of it either.

Does it ring a bell to anyone? Can anyone help me?

Thanks.
