I have the same issue, with Ipad Air and ios 7.0.4. With Iphone 5 (ios 7.04) all works perfectly, but with ipad air using the same profile, same credentials, same wifi network it doesn't connect. I tryed to switch profile, reinstall app but after i press connect the login/password field becomes blank.

the new 64bit cpu (IPAD MINI RETINA, IPAD AIR, IPHONE 5S) from Apple is incompatible with actual openvpn connect. We must wait some new release from openvpn to fix the issue.
