Passing source IPs through the VPN

I have two cloud environments that I am trying to connect with an OpenVPN tunnel.
Network1: 172.16.0.0/16
Network2: 172.17.0.0/16
I have two servers in each network (total of 4) that uses GlusterFS. When I try to connect the servers from network1 to network2 (or vice versa) they respond back with my VPN connection IP, and not the IP of the server itself. I need assistance on how I can have these servers NOT see the VPN connection IP, but their actual originating IP address.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
