I do believe its broken on the 64-bit architecture of iPhone 5S. I'm hoping we get an update.

Anybody else having trouble connecting?

When I click on... it just empties the username and password fields and does nothing further.

Yes, same issue here. I even recreated all the profiles (one from privatetunnel.com and another from ProXPN.) Same behavior after recreating the profiles.

I just bought the iPhone 5S and I'm having the same issue: I attempt to log in and the username field blanks out and it does nothing. Hopefully there will be an update soon.

Me, too. It's definitely the 5S; no issues with OpenVPN under iOS7 on multiple other devices. Hopefully the fix is just a relatively simple rebuild.

On a more general note, thanks to the OpenVPN team for a wonderful application! It has made my life a lot simpler. Looking forward to resuming service on the 5S.

Just glad I'm not alone! I urge anybody with this problem to post... or if they find a solution to let us know.

5S is not working here... (hell)

the app is wonderfull 1000x better then the existing VPN clients i love openvpn..

hope we get an update (very) soon..
i only can email via VPN the mailserver does not accept foreign hosts
So we have a quiet period till openvpn works again

I have the same issues on my 5s. I have tried re-importing the configuration files... did not resolve the problem.

is there already a update project of the app?

actually for the last two days I've been trying to figure this out. Glad that I am not the only one. Any information on if and when an update may be coming or a beta? Also if there is anything I can do to speed things along please let me know. However I am definitely not a coder.

Cisco AnyConnect, JunOS Pulse, and SonicWall Mobile Connect -- all SSL VPNs like OpenVPN -- are broken, too The first two have acknowledged this in their iTunes app postings, saying they will update "when more info is available."

It's not clear whether this is an Apple problem with all SSL VPNs on the 5s, or if some app change is required for the 64-bit architecture.

I'm sure OpenVPN Technologies will update us as soon as they can. Hopefully that won't be too long since a lot of us are dead in the water.

Having the same issues, tried deleting and reinstalling the app, and reloading the config files. App appears to start up fine, but when I try to connect, nothing happens.

Glad to hear it's not an isolated problem, and I can definitely confirm it's a iphone 5S issue, as the same app and same config works fine on the 4S right next to it.

from my understanding it is the problem with the 64-bit architecture. But like I said earlier I am not a programmer.

We are working on iPhone 5s support. This issue is related to the arm64 arch.

SonciWall released an update to their MobileConnect app for iOS yesterday, and it's finally working now on my iPhone 5S. Hopefully, OpenVPN won't be far behind...

Any news on the update to openvpn for iOS to allow it to work in the iphone 5s

any suggestions/ other software we can use while we wait for the update? I am a newbie and i need to use vpn on my phone so badly... thanks!
