Hi, I was wondering if it were possible for me to set up an openVPN server so that my internet is tunneled securely, due to the fact that I'm stuck behind a campus firewall and all my UDP ports are blocked therefore I would be able to bypass it to run programs that require such ports.
I've read that I would need to host a server and connect to it as a client. I know that I must get virtualbox to emulate an Ubuntu OS and run an OpenVPN server there so that I can connect to it through my main client Windows 7 and have all my internet traffic tunneled through it.
Although I've heard of the term of SSH tunneling, I do not exactly know how to configure the server to connect the client. But I already have a fair amount of knowledge on how to get the server up and running and creating the keys and what not.
Sorry if I'm not very clear I just got into this 2 days ago and I haven't managed to get anything running. If anyone would be able to shove me on the right direction about how this works, I would be very grateful.
