OpenVPN and ICS conflicts with Windows 8

Hello,
My computer is connected to the Internet using my WIFI card and I'm sharing my OpenVPN connection through my ethernet card (for other computers in my place).
When I boot my computer, connect the VPN and share the TAP-Wins32 connection everything works fine. I can connect another computer using my ethernet port and the other computer has a full internet access.
However, if the VPN is disconnected (for instance if my computer goes to sleep), it won't reconnect after waking up (and then I won't be able to share it).
I tried to poke around and see what is happening and it looks like the Internet Connection Sharing service (ICS) is hung "stopping" and I can't kill and restart the service.
I have to reboot the computer to restart the service.
I'm on Windows 8.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
