Netbios traffic not going through... eth to tap bridge??

I'm connecting to my OpenVPN server using, "dev tap0". However, my understanding is that in order for this to work, I still need to have a the eth-tap bridge setup ahead of time.

I was hoping someone could explain the simplest possible way to enable this type of bridging.

My ethernet subnet is is 192.168.1.XXX. My VPN subnet is 10.249.84.xxx

I found a easy howto on bridging which should work for your setup.
Doing this, would bridge both networks together and therefore your ip-ranges will be the same.

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for trying to help. However, it looks like there's more to it than just adding tap0 to the bridge interface.

It would be great if there was someone I could work with who knows this kind of stuff very well. I'd gladly pay them a consulting fee via paypal for helping me out.
