OpenVPN AS Bridge-Mode with Internal DHCP?

Post by mnnathaniel » Wed May 08, 2013 10:09 pm

I tried doing a search on this, but most of it came up for the Community Edition.

Running OpenVPN Access Server Virtual Appliance 1.8.4.400 on an VMware ESXi 5.1 host. AS is in Bridge-Mode and runs on a single NIC. Clients can connect fine.

The subnet that the OpenVPN AS sits on is one that has a large amount of IPs (/16) and looking into it, I would like to reserve a range of IPs for it. I am just running the trial right now, but looking to see if this is possible. The thought would be to have OpenVPN provide DHCP for the clients connecting to it, where I block out 172.16.100.100-200 on my internal DHCP and that way I can ensure that the VPN users get the that block of IPs. It looks like this is done often enough in the community edition, but as I am running AS, the commands do not seem to work.

Is this possible?

Thanks!
