Hi,

I´ve been running OpenVpn AS Hyper-V Virtual Appliance for half a year now pretty well. Now I want to upgrade from Version 1.8.4 to 1.8.5. When I connect to the download Server I get the following error 404 Not found
I enter the follwowing command as stated on the Website:
wget http://swupdate.openvpn.net/as/openvpn- ... 8.i386.deb
What´s wrong?

Tanks a lot
Udi

I guess no one cares that we can't upgrade the appliances as per THEIR documentation.

Now the link appears to be up. But I am still unable to update my appliance.

As per http://openvpn.net/index.php/access-ser ... (VHD)&ex=1

last command returns the error

dpkg-deb: `openvpn-as-1.8.5-Ubuntu8.i386.deb' is not a debian format archive
dpkg: error processing openvpn-as-1.8.5-Ubuntu8.i386.deb (--install):
subprocess dpkg-deb --control returned error exit status 2
Errors were encountered while processing:
openvpn-as-1.8.5-Ubuntu8.i386.deb

Hi,
this is what OPENVPN support says:
"Hello,

I am very sorry, at the moment those virtual appliances don't support 1.8.5 yet. This is because the operating system in those appliances is somewhat outdated and needs to be upgraded.

We are working on fixing this situation by redesigning the download pages on our website and creating new virtual appliance images and creating install scripts that make install of Access Server on any supported system even easier. This will take some time, though. We hope to have this all done by the end of this month. At that time, once it's all done, we'd like to advise you to deploy a new virtual appliance that is completely up-to-date, and migrate your existing configuration to that new appliance, so you will benefit from the updated systems. Until then however, we ask for your patience while we upgrade the underlying systems and that section of our website...."
Be patient!!! :D

So...I take it there will be no release of a newer version? Site still shows VHD's is sitting at 1.6.1
