Socks proxy availability?

I've been working with Gizmovpn and so far it has been working pretty well (util the demo expires that is) and the proxy options still works as expected:
HTTP proxy NTLM authentication still doesn't work, but socks proxy does, so I could set up an odd configuration with my laptop.
Unfortunately OpenVPN for ios proxy support seems just HTTP with basic authentication at most, so I still couldn't have tried it.
My configuration has the socks directive in it (it is the exact same I use in Gizmovpn) but it gets ignored.
Is this expected?
Is socks support going to be implemented some time?
