my windows machine is getting the vpn ip. but not able to access the server.
Some details are:
VPN server ip: 10.8.0.1
my machine ip: 10.8.0.241

when i access the 10.8.0.1 through remote desktop, getting error. even not able to ping the 10.8.0.1
Opened the port 1194 on incoming and outgoing also. still the same error

Since you posted this in the forum named 'Access Server', I am guessing this has something to do with the product OpenVPN Access Server. Or are you using the open source edition? Please let us know.

i got this resolved myself. i'm using the community edition of open VPN.
Open VPN GUI have to be started with admin privileges.
