OpenVPN and Windows8 NOT working

Hello!

I installed Windows 8 Pro German 64 (MSDN). -> Update from Win7 Ultimate
As a client, I use openvpn-install 2.3_alpha3-I001-x86_64.exe.

The connection itself is working, but after a few seconds breaks the connection from obvious. I get no error messages or so, eg ping does not work anymore. The OpenVPN GUI is still "green", but has "suspended" obviously, so I can only go on with the Task Manager and kill the OpenVPN GUI..

The configs I have before under Win7 and everything worked perfectly.

What can I do?
Am grateful for every tip.

You're running the OpenVPN client as Administrator?
(yeah sounds dumb, but was one of my first mistakes when upgrading from xp to 7 ;) )
It could be a compatibility issue, I'll try my setup on a Windows 8 test machine and report back.

Hi sorry for the kick, but I can't edit my post.
OpenVPN is working fine here for about 1 hour.

Windows 8 Release preview, Openvpn 2.3 beta1-l002 running as Administrator.
Can you try and update your client to the lastest version?

I am running into this as well. Have we made any progress?

Staples told a client of mine that his was not working because he needs Windows 8 Pro.

EDIT: Certain it is running as Administrator.
