I'm seeing the same thing (from a recent fresh install of 2.4.7) and have been chasing it down for a few days.
Although... my strategy was to get v6 transport working, or get the virtual to handle the dual addrs (my server is properly setup for v6, has correct iptables, etc etc). Neither path have been successful so far. Curiously, not everything is failing. Some stuff works fine (Slack), some stuff is slow, spotty or arbitrary (smtp), and some stuff fails entirely (pop/imap, signal).
I wish I could get better logs from my iPhone without rigging up a whole bench test with Xcode.
Anyhow, I'll report back as I learn more, and will look here to see if anyone else is experiencing this same behavior, and has clues (or outright fixes) that they will share.
