socket protect error?

Post by ak4490 » Fri Feb 12, 2021 5:22 am

I create a openvpn tunnel, and it works well on my android phone. however. The OpenVPN application on windows 10 with same config file cannot connect to vpn server. The log file always shows:transport eror, socket_protect_error (TCPv6). Is there anyone know the solution? Thanks

Hi There,

Can you please confirm which version of OpenVPN Connect client for windows you are getting this error?
Also, are you using the OpenVPN Connect Client for windows (https://openvpn.net/client-connect-vpn-for-windows/)?
Or, the OpenVPN GUI which is being downloaded here: https://openvpn.net/community-downloads/

We strongly suggest that if you are using the OpenVPN Connect client for windows, and you want to debug this further with us, you can reach out via https://openvpn.net/support to get in touch with the official OpenVPN Inc. company support regarding this problem.

Best Regards,

Crowley
