Windows 10 openVPN clinet and server

Post by UniversalAE » Tue Dec 22, 2020 3:29 am

Two Windows 10 PCs one is server the other is client. They are on both sides of a router using V2.4.10 on both. Configuration and Keys are perfect. It all works with just one problem. Both Windows 10 defender firewalls must be disabled. When one or the other firewall is enabled then the client PC cannot ping the server or browse the LAN behind the server. When the firewalls are disabled then ping and browse works just fine. Clearly this is a firewall issue and not an openVPN configuration issue. Can someone out there tell me how to tunnel through the firewalls? I have tried all kinds of things and nothing has worked. It seems to me I'm missing that one little piece of magic that makes it all work.
