Which router?

Hello,
i need help choosing a router.

Here is what I would like to do:



(Device X) ---- (Router)======(VPN Server)------(Net)



Devices and router are in my house, my vpn server is far ( 1000km ;) ).


I have found a lot of routers which are vpn server but I think that is not what I need.
So I need a router that is a client for VPN and that can manage my entire network (streaming, tv ...).
Which model do you recommend? (< 250$).

pfSense, DIY or bought from Netgate.
I gloomily came to the ironic conclusion that if you take a highly intelligent person and give them the best possible, elite education, then you will most likely wind up with an academic who is completely impervious to reality.

A router which supports Open-WRT.
