hi,
we use OpenVPN 2.1.4 on Win32 to connect to a server for gaming.
The setup we use is described here:
http://users.libero.it/efa/openVPN_en.html
The connection work well, we tested up to 15 clients together.
Two of our clients with WinXP cannot connect. They got this error on client side:
TAP-WIN32 device [Connessione alla rete locale (LAN) 21] opened: \\.\Global\{08696B99-EF9F-47A9-999D-F8C513F92096}.tap
NOTE: could not get adapter index for {08696B99-EF9F-47A9-999D-F8C513F92096}
(I want to attach the complete log, but I cannot find Attach button on this forum)
On server side, when one of those two client try to connect, the log miss the last line:
MULTI: Learn: MAC -> clientXX/IP:11934
where we always have this with all other clients.
I saw that on those two PC, the command "ipconfig /all" do not show the virtual ethernet card created by OpenVPN, while they can see it on Start menu, Settings, Network connections.
I tried with them, some manual test, like hard set arp table on both client and server, but we cannot get a ping reply.
I also see that OpenVPN: 2010.11.18 -- Version 2.2-beta4
fix something that can be related "Fixed initialization bug in route_list_add_default_gateway (Gert Doering)"
but before ask to install a beta version, I want to be sure this is them problem.
Any suggestions?
thanks in advance
