HI all.
I've tried OpenVPN latest version (2.2beta5) succesfully on a Win XP and it works fine.
Then, I tried to do the same with a Windows 2003 Server Basic, problems appeared:
The installation was "normal", no errors generated and virtual device was created as TAP v9.
But later, when I tried connection, it failed.
Report of OpenVPN GUI says:
...
...
Wed Jan 05 09:30:55 2011 TEST ROUTES: 0/0 succeeded len=2 ret=0 a=0 u/d=down
Wed Jan 05 09:30:55 2011 Route: Waiting for TUN/TAP interface to come up...
Wed Jan 05 09:31:00 2011 TEST ROUTES: 0/0 succeeded len=2 ret=0 a=0 u/d=down

Wed Jan 05 09:31:01 2011 TEST ROUTES: 0/0 succeeded len=2 ret=0 a=0 u/d=down
Wed Jan 05 09:31:01 2011 Route: Waiting for TUN/TAP interface to come up...
...
And so.
Finally, virtual device TAP v9 remains trying to obtain IP adress, but cannot (0.0.0.0)
I cheched that both XP and 2003 have the same IP default gateway, mask and DNS.
I cheched both XP and 2003 have temporary disabled firewall.
I tried to launch GUI under admin privileges, and emulating Windows XP too, but all these failed.
So, can anybody help me?
Is OpenVPN windows 2003 server basic compatible?
Thank you very much.
Windows 2003 support
