Remember user name and password 2.7.1

In openvpn connect 2.7.1.101, how can I store username and password so that openvpn connects on startup?

I've tried suggestions, none have worked (askpass/auth-user-pass). The file with password or username and password has CRLF line endings.

What do I need to do?
