At Reconnecting bypass 2FA

Hi,

We have an OpenVPN server with DUO Mobile(2FA) running on Pfsense. This works just fine.
The point we dislike about this is.. When someone gets a network hiccup for just 2 seconds. The VPN disconnects and tries to reconnect and pushes a login request again to DUO mobile.

Now the desired solution for this is to bypass the 2FA at reconnects. Does anyone know if this is possible without a large modification to the setup?
