TAP Driver Version 9.0.0.9 Question

I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security 2019 on Windows 10 x64, and it has issues with driver version .21. Fortunately, my VPN service (TorGuard) provides two driver versions for compatibility reasons -- .9 and .21.

So I was wondering if .9 is still safe to use.

Please advise.

TAP 9.0.0.9 is the NDIS5 version shipped with OpenVPN 2.3 which is for use with Windows XP.

TAP 9.0.0.21is the NDIS6 version shipped with OpenVPN 2.4 which is not for use with Windows XP.

Check whether is ok without antivirus at first
