Error: Could not execute command to generate startup/shutdow

Post by carda » Thu Oct 21, 2010 9:07 pm

Hello,

I am VERY new to openvpn and already have an issue I cannot solve myself. The above error message stops the initial configuration script at /usr/local/openvpn_as/bin/ovpn-init. I am using CentOS 5 in a pretty standard server installation. I believe this problem is probably a shell issue (the command the script wants to execute is not in the path or something like this), but as the error message is not very self explanatory, I do not know where to search ...

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
Benedikt.

if you can run openvpn manually and it works, you need to consult CentOS support to see whats wrong with the script.
does openvpn work when you start it manually?
