I have two computers with which I use OpenVPN to access a remote computer at my office. In one case (my laptop), I can access the work computer by its hostname and it shows up in the network listing in windows explorer. In the other case (my desktop), I must access the work computer by IP address and it doesn't show up in the network listing in windows explorer.
All 3 computers run Windows 7. The two computers that I am running from my home use the same client.ovpn file.
One difference that I can see is that the 2 home computers are pointing at different DHCP servers. I was going to change the desktop to match the laptop but I couldn't figure out how.
Any ideas on why the desktop computer isn't recognizing the work computer by its hostname?
