No push notifications, no incoming calls: A common issue?

Hi! My first post here. When using OpenVPN Connect on my ipodtouch (OS 9) with no matter what VPN provider, in most cases, I won't get any notifications on incoming calls from Viber, Acrobits Softphone etc.

I experimented with some of the OpenVPN Connect settings but so far without success.

Is this a common issue? Is there someting one can do? Are there some settings in the OpenVPN configuration file that one could try?

On my Android device, I don't have any of these issues.
