I'm using OpenVpn on Linux Mint, I wonder if there is any way to let only some specific applications use the openvpn tunnel?
how to direct connect some apps?

You may be able to use "policy based routing" ..

Unlike, for example: a software firewall, OpenVPN cannot route specific applications or even ports. Policy based routing can but that is outside the scope of this forum.
