Hi,
I have an OPENVPN Access Server with a private subnet.
I can ping from a local computer to the private subnet when using OPENVPN Connect.
But when using OPENVPN GUI , the private subnet cannot be reached.
The local computers are still connected though.
The opvn files are extracted from OPEN-AS using sacli script.
Any help or guidance is much appreciated.
OPENVPN GUI difference with OPENVPN Connect ?

Re: OPENVPN GUI difference with OPENVPN Connect ?
Openvpn GUI has to be set to run "as administrator" in windows.
otherwise it cannot change routes and gateways
openvpnconnect already does that without extra setting.
i wonder does openvpn connect work for you?
ife testet it on windows 8.1 -64bit with a plain debian server, standard install.
i cant even connect with the windows client (but i can with the same cert on an android tablet)
cannot test win 7 here right now
however for some reason the connect client alwys makes a connection to openvpn and run something from their host, i suppose its an alwys uptodate client, this and the fact that you need xml on the connect server (so https has to be open) force me away from the copnnect client anyway

Re: OPENVPN GUI difference with OPENVPN Connect ?
Thank you very much !
Running OPENVPN GUI as adminstrator did solve the issue.
The reason for using GUI was that there is a local computer that I needed it to have perpetual connection and I don't know how to do that with Connect. But GUI allows persist and keepalive.
