Transport Error: DNS resolve error on '<my public ip>' for U

I follow the instructions on http://readwrite.com/2014/04/10/raspberr... and http://readwrite.com/2014/04/11/building... but when i finally get the ovpn file to use on my phone it says
Transport Error: DNS resolve error on '<my public ip>' for UDP session: Host not found (authoritative)

What the hell is going on and what should i do??!
