Hello
My company has 2 openVPN devices.
I have installed the openVPN app on a Iphone 5s and an ipad2. Both greet me with the Welcome To OpenVON window.
I have About and Help in the top let and right hand corners.
If I select from the options below, "If you are importing a profile from an OpenVPN access server...." I put in its host name, hit return and I am at its login screen, I login, select my client.ovpn file and then I am looking at its contents... Ok.. Then what? How do I get I get it imported? I can copy it but there is nothing to paste it too. I am totally lost how this is supposed to work.
All other selections seem just as non working. If I say select "If you receive the profile as a .ovpn attachment in the Mail app..." it does not open my mail, it just does nothing.
Please let me know what I am doing wrong.
Thanks
N.

Log into Access Server and click on "user-locked" or "autologin" profile. This should then allow you to import the profile into the OpenVPN app.

Hello
Thank you for your reply
However I have done that, as stated. There problem is that there is no "import"
How do you "import" the file? When it opens safari, it's just safari, there is nothing special. There is no "import" etc. I can save to welcome screen or copy the file or mail it, that's about it.
Thanks

After you click on "user-locked" or "autologin" profile, Safari should give you the option to open it in OpenVPN:
If you open it, iOS should switch to the OpenVPN app and you should see this:

Hi
Thank so much for your response!
I got to try the ap on another(newer) VPN and I got the response you showed. I guess our software is too old to trigger this response
Will have to upgrade I guess.
I guess they should specify what minimum rev your software can be as well as IOS version.
Thank you!
