Is this possible with openVPN

Post by dreadman69 » Wed Apr 03, 2013 8:45 pm

Hi evernote,

I'm New to openVPN and i have some questions regarding my Idea in using openVPN. I would really appreciate your help!

I've a Synology Nas wich i sued as a openVPN Server to Access my Network at home Weile i was in the Road. Unfortunately my Internet Provider decided to change my Access from ipv4 to ipv6 over a DSLite Connection. With this setzt i'm no longer aible to Access the VPN Server.

Fortunately the synology Nas has a built-in VPN Client - with this Option i got the Idea to Rent a dedicated Server with an ipv4 address. My Idea is now to connect the NAS from home via Open VPN to the dedicated Server in the Internet. Then i would Open a open VPN Connection from my mobile device to the dedicated Server. Is it then possible to Access my Nas and all other machines in my Homenetwork from the "external mobile device" over this Tunnel?

I'm Not quite sure if Thats the bridged Mode since the openVPN Server is Not in my Homenetwork, wich i would like to Access.

Best Regards

Daniel
