Does OpenVPN AS need router setting changes?

I am configuring OpenVPN AS to protect my Hyper-V environment (hosting windows server 2012).

I'd like to know that in doing this, do I need to make router-specific changes?


All I aim to do is make rdp inaccessible unless I am on the VPN.

Other than a port forward no you should not need changes on the router/fw.
