openvpnas client certificates

Post by custodix » Tue Dec 04, 2012 9:54 am

Currently we are using openvpn with bidirectional authentication (client certificates)
each user is issued a vpn certificate from our central CA

I would like to migrate to openvpnAS
Is it possible to use client certificates for bidirectional authentication in openvpnAS

I have tried openvpnAS and it works fine but I am not able to find any settings on client authentication through client certificates.

Kind regards
Kenneth

In short; Access Server uses certificates for authentication and encryption. It also uses username/password credentials for authentication. You have to option of switching to certificates only (autologin profiles). This does require however that you manually issue users their certificates. Access Server generates the required certificates automatically.
I'm still alive, just posting under the openvpn_inc alias now as part of a larger group.
