OpenVPN access server appliance + site to site setup

Post by atakacs » Tue Jul 17, 2012 3:02 pm

Hello

I'm trying to find out if it (a) possible (b) advisable to use an OpenVPN access server appliance both to allow remote access to clients and to setup a site to site tunnel.

I understand that the latter part is not support in the GUI but can it be done ? Any comments / pointers appreciated.

Yes, OpenVPN appliance can act as client, but it must be configured mannualy from command line. Or in command line install regular openvpn and use it as client leavin openvpn appliance as server.

Thanks - so just to be 100% clear openVPN appliance = regular openVPN + nice GUI for easy client access ?

Not quite. OpenVPN core is the same, only api and configs differs. And of course there is GUI and preinstalled system.
